2025 Ram 1500 RHO at Reedman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Springfield
Ahead of the 2025 model year, the Ram 1500 lineup has gotten some significant upgrades, from new engines, an upgraded front fascia, and loads of new tech. But the most significant upgrades come from the lineup itself. In 2025, Ram phased out the V8 engines, including the TRX's supercharged V8. However, the spirit of the TRX lives on through the all-new Ram 1500 RHO! Featuring a 500-plus horsepower engine and a design inspired by the outgoing high-performance model, we have no doubt here at Reedman-Toll Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Springfield that the new RHO will fill the large shoes left behind by the mighty TRX. Below, you can take an in-depth look at the all-new 2025 Ram 1500 RHO to learn more!

Meet the All-New Ram 1500 RHO!
What's Under the Hood of the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO?
The 2025 Ram 1500 lineup introduces a brand-new engine called Hurricane to replace the outgoing V8 engines. Available in a standard output and high output variant, the new Hurricane engine is a twin-turbocharged 3.0L inline six-cylinder engine. By using two fewer cylinders than the naturally aspirated V8 engine and adding forced air induction, the Hurricane engine runs more efficiently without sacrificing power output. In fact, even the standard output Hurricane engine provides an increase of 115 horsepower and 59 lb-ft of torque over the output numbers of the discontinued 5.7L HEMI V8. The RHO, however, uses the high-output Hurricane variant, which lays down a thrilling 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful six-cylinder engine in the light-duty truck segment. While it may be less power than Ram's outgoing performance model, the RHO performs very similarly to its predecessor, with a 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds, just one-tenth of a second slower than the TRX, and a 118-MPH top speed, which ties the TRX. Exclusive high-performance features are added to the RHO for a unique, heart-pounding driving experience. These include but are not limited to nine drive modes, launch control, a center console gear knob, steering wheel paddle shifters for sequential shifting of the eight-speed automatic transmission, a sport-tuned exhaust system, and more.
2025 Ram 1500 RHO Off-Road Performance
While its on-road performance is surely impressive, the RHO really shows off long past where the pavement ends. The RHO comes standard with an advanced 4x4 system that features a BorgWarner 48-13 full-time active transfer case. Thanks to the transfer case's upgraded internals, its improved strength and durability allow the truck to pass through any weather condition or off-road terrain. In 4-Low, the transfer case allows a 2.64:1 gear ratio for better rock crawling control. It also offers a neutral mode for flat towing. Meanwhile, the high-speed E-Locker rear differential provides total axle engagement when it is necessary, meaning both rear wheels spin at the same speed, maximizing stability and control whether you're navigating rugged terrain at crawling speeds or kicking up dirt at high speeds. The RHO's nine drive modes, including Custom, Sport, Snow, Tow, Auto, Valet, Baja, Rock, and Mud/Sand, can be used to optimize performance on any given terrain. Its off-road capability also stems from its 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tires. These, coupled with a two-inch lift over the traditional Ram 1500 lineup, provide the RHO with a towering 11.8 inches of ground clearance.
What is Special About the Ram 1500 RHO Suspension System
The Ram 1500 RHO takes off-road capability one step further with a class-exclusive suspension system. At the heart of the RHO's suspension are Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive performance shock absorbers, originally custom-built for the TRX. These shocks are specially tuned for optimal balance both on and off the road. Meanwhile, the shocks also improve handling, ride comfort, and body roll control with Ram's exclusive Active Terrain Dynamics suspension management system, new body mount strategy, hard points, and shock tuning. The shocks feature a precise, single-piece construction with rigid aluminum to dissipate and reduce heat. They're also able to continuously adjust damping forces to provide optimal body control over rugged terrain. Each shock is powered by a nitrogen-charged remote reservoir that uses a zero-leak, hot-formed tube closure for optimal durability in extreme conditions. The shocks also feature Dual Electronic Proportional Valves to provide precise, independent control of rebound and compression damping. The shocks are accompanied by an independent front suspension system with unique upper and lower control arms made of high-strength aluminum for additional durability. The RHO's advanced suspension system allows for a mind-blowing 13 inches of suspension travel in the front and 14 inches in the rear.
