2023 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer L

You'll immediately see the size difference when comparing the base Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer models to the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer L models. Overall, the length of the Wagoneer L lineup is stretched by twelve inches, making the total length 226.7 inches. To accommodate this extra length, the wheelbase was extended by seven inches, bringing it up to 130 inches. While the exterior is noticeably larger, the size difference can also be seen when looking inside. Best-in-class overall cargo volume offers 44.2 cubic feet of space behind the third row. The Wagoneer L lineup also features class-leading passenger volume, offering 179.3 cubic feet. While holding up to eight passengers, the larger models also feature best-in-class second-row legroom of 42.7 inches. Third-row occupants are treated to 36.6 inches of legroom, making it roomy enough for adults.

The Wagoneer Carbide Edition was also revealed at the 2022 New York Auto Show. The all-new Carbide trim gives the Wagoneer and Wagoneer L models a blacked-out design, giving them an even more commanding look. The Wagoneer Carbide's exterior features Diamond Black front and rear fascias, Gloss Black badges, sill cladding, mirror appliques, headlight rounds, roof rack, Diamond Black door flares, and Black Onyx grille rings. The Carbide trim also provides plenty of natural light and fresh air with a three-pane panoramic sunroof. Inside the Carbide trim, you'll find Global Black doors and instrument panels, a new hydrographic dash accent, a black headliner, and Global Black seats with Smoke accent stitching. The Carbide trim will be available for the 2022 Wagoneer models in the second half of 2022 and available for all 2023 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer standard and long-wheelbase models.

While the 2022 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer lineup employed V8 engines, the 2023 Wagoneer will use the all-new Hurricane engine. This new engine, available in standard output and high-output variants, employs a 3.0-liter inline-6 cylinder twin-turbocharged engine. The standard-output Hurricane engine for the Wagoneer and Wagoneer L delivers 420 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque. The Grand Wagoneer lineup, both standard and long-wheelbase variants, use the high-output engine, producing 510 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. While delivering the same power as larger engines, the Hurricane engine gets better fuel economy by using six cylinders and two turbochargers. In fact, the new engine increases fuel efficiency by up to 15% compared to the current V8 engines. The twin-turbo engine is mated to the robust TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission. The Wagoneer lineup comes standard with rear-wheel drive, while the Grand Wagoneer comes standard with Quadra-Trac I 4x4. However, Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II with an electronic limited-slip rear differential are available for all Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer standard and long-wheelbase models.
