All three of these engines are mated to an eight-speed transmission and rear-wheel drive. Four-wheel drive systems are available for these engines. The Grand Cherokee SRT model gains a 6.4-liter V8 engine under the hood that delivers 470 lb-ft of torque and 475 hp. The new Trackhawk model is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that outputs 645 lb-ft of torque and 707 hp. These engines are matched to a more advanced eight-speed transmission and four-wheel drive. The Grand Cherokee maxes out at 7,400 pounds when it comes to towing!

2018 GMC Terrain Power & Handling

There are only three engines available for the 2018 model year. First up is the standard turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-4 that delivers 203 lb-ft of torque and 170 hp. The second is a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 that generates 260 lb-ft of torque and 252 hp. These two engines are mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
