2019 Jeep Compass

There are a ton of small crossovers on the market, and it can be hard to pick which one is the right one. Fortunately, the 2019 Jeep Compass is here to put your mind at ease. This year's Compass comes in four trims, read on to see which one is right for you.   

Sport is the base model. The standout feature here is Jeep's 7.0-inch Uconnect touchscreen; this comes complete with Bluetooth streaming with a six-speaker stereo system as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Sport trim also comes with cold-weather options like heated front seats and a remote start that go great with its four-cylinder engine that produces 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. An optional 4x4 system is available for those who want extra power during bad weather days. New this year for the Sport is the Upland appearance package that includes black tow hooks and front skid plates. This trim also comes with four-wheel drive and automatic transmission.   

The Latitude model is the next level up and features automatic headlights, cornering fog lights, 17-inch wheels, ambient interior lighting, and illuminated vanity mirrors. There are also additional options like power seating and newer safety options like blind-spot monitoring. The interior also gets a bit of an upgrade with a cloth and simulated leather seat upholstery. The LED lighting brightens up the cabin, and fans will enjoy the keyless entry and leather-wrapped steering wheel. Like its predecessor, the Latitude comes complete with four-wheel drive and automatic transmission.   

The Limited is the third trim level available and is the most luxurious one yet. The Limited comes full customized with heated leather seats and a heated steering wheel. There are higher-end features included like a Beats premium sound system and Uconnect that comes standard with an 8.4-inch touch screen. The Limited also benefits from a nine-speed transmission as opposed to the eight-speed at the other levels.       

The final trim, the Trailhawk, is perfect for off-roading. It benefits from a raised suspension and underbody skid plates which allow it to tackle any harsh terrain. Also, the Trailhawk delivers best-in-class 4x4 capability with a 20:1 crawl ratio and Hill-decent control with 17-inch off-road tires. The Trailhawk also provides all leather seating as well as duel-climate control and , a 7-inch color LCD, and a 1-year subscription to Sirius XM radio.
