Is it true that the all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler comes with 3 engine options?

The familiar engine that existed in prior models was the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and it has Engine Stop-Start (ESS) to generate 285 horsepower for 260 pound-feet of torque. That engine comes with a six-speed manual transmission, with an option for an eight-speed automatic transmission. The all-new engine for 2018 is the turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder (270-hp and 295 lb-ft of torque) that is equipped with efficient eTorque technology, which involves and manages things like launch performance and fuel-saving processes. Combined with this engine is an eight-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine will become purchasable in 2019, which will be a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 (with ESS) that can garner 442 lb-ft of torque with its 260 horsepower, as well as work directly with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The all-new Wrangler can tow up to 3,500-lbs when equipped with the Tow package!

Can you go over some features of the all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler?

The all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler 2-door model is available in three different trim configurations: Sport, Sport S and Rubicon. The Sahara model is added to that list for 4-door versions of the all-new Wrangler. There's a popular Command-Trac 4x4 system that gets drivers a 2.72:1 crawl ratio found standard on Sport and Sahara models, while the Rock-Trac 4x4 system (with a "4LO" ratio of 4:1 and Tru-Lok locking differentials) is located on Rubicon models as standard. An option for a Trac-Lok limited-slip rear differential gets more torque, grip, and success in areas of low-traction, when sand, snow, or worse descends. Skid plates protect the bottom of this vehicle, and users will be glad to see that Jeep kept the always-handy front and rear tow hooks. It also has optional 17" off-road wheels (Rubicon models gain 33" tires as standard). Jeep then migrates fully to a body-on-frame design, re-engineered its 5-link suspension system, as well as re-tuned the Wrangler's shocks. Jeep partners further with MOPAR to get its fans even more value, with its Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) offering, which means owners can now get items tested and fitted like beadlock-capable wheels & rock rails, off-road LED lights, lifts kits, and more! There's even a tailgate table as well as a special roof rack.

What kind of tech is within this vehicle?

On the tech side of things, Jeep installs its Uconnect systems in its 4th generation: the 5-inch (3rd-gen), 7-inch, and an 8.4-inch screen with (or without) navigation. Selecting either Uconnect 7.0" or 8.4"NAV means that Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can now assist your smartphone easily. Also, look for tech regulars like SiriusXM Radio, either a 3.5- or an optional 7-inch thin-film transistor LED display for information, Traffic and Guardian Connected Services, handsfree phone calls or texts, and Travel Link. The Uconnect 4C NAV system offers available 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot connectivity. The standard issue Wrangler gets eight speakers, but there is an available Alpine audio system as well, with 9-speakers in total (including a 10" subwoofer). An under-floor storage area just in back of the rear seat gets room to fit small personal gear out of sight, and this works well to amplify convenience with the new Lift-Assist handles that are under each door armrest.

Final Thoughts on the 2018 All-New Jeep Wrangler

Safety within the all-new Wrangler takes the form of seventy-five individual passive and/or active safety/security systems that are either standard or electable as options. Some of these contain great features like 4 standard airbags, Blind-spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path detection, a ParkView rear backup camera with dynamic grid lines, and electronic stability control with electronic roll mitigation. This is one vehicle to check out this year, as Jeep has truly put a ton of work into it! Why not pop down and see it with us at your next best opportunity?
