Is it true that the all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler comes with 3 engine options?

The familiar engine that existed in prior models was the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and it has Engine Stop-Start (ESS) to generate 285 horsepower for 260 pound-feet of torque. That engine comes with a six-speed manual transmission, with an option for an eight-speed automatic transmission. The all-new engine for 2018 is the turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder (270-hp and 295 lb-ft of torque) that is equipped with efficient eTorque technology, which involves and manages things like launch performance and fuel-saving processes. Combined with this engine is an eight-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine will become purchasable in 2019, which will be a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 (with ESS) that can garner 442 lb-ft of torque with its 260 horsepower, as well as work directly with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The all-new Wrangler can tow up to 3,500-lbs when equipped with the Tow package!

Skid plates protect the bottom of this vehicle, and users will be glad to see that Jeep kept the always-handy front and rear tow hooks. It also has optional 17" off-road wheels (Rubicon models gain 33" tires as standard). Jeep then migrates fully to a body-on-frame design, re-engineered its 5-link suspension system, as well as re-tuned the Wrangler's shocks. Jeep partners further with MOPAR to get its fans even more value, with its Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) offering, which means owners can now get items tested and fitted like beadlock-capable wheels & rock rails, off-road LED lights, lifts kits, and more!
